JK: Encounter ends in Kupwara, 2 militants killed
Two to three terrorists believed to be trapped.
New Delhi:
In Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, an encounter broke out on Friday morning between militants and security forces, officials said.
Following information about presence of militants, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Babagund area of Kupwara.
The search operation turned into an encounter after militants opened firing towards.
There were no reports of any casualties so far in the operation, the officials said. Search operation was underway.
Two terrorists were neutralised, reported news agency IANS. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
