Delhi: Air quality remains ‘poor’; sky to remain clear throughout day

The overall air quality in Delhi remained in the ‘poor’ category on Sunday as the Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 218, the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting said. The minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 5.2 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season's average, the weather office said, adding the NCR woke up to a cold and foggy morning.

"The sky will remain clear throughout the day," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 19 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, at least 13 train arrivals in the national capital were delayed on Sunday morning due to fog conditions/low visibility.

At 8.30 a.m., humidity was recorded 100 per cent while visibility was at 400 metres.

The maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded three notches below the average at 19.2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 6 degrees Celsius.
