Bihar CM Nitish Kumar faces public ire in Buxar, pelted with stones during ‘Vikas Samiksha Yatra’

According to news agency ANI, the crowd pelted stone on Nitish Kumar. The CM was, however, rescued safely by his security guards.

A news that should raise Bihar government’s concerns regarding the movements of Nitish Kumar across the state, the Chief Minister was attacked by a group of people in Buxar during his ‘Vikas Samiksha Yatra’.

According to news agency ANI, the crowd pelted stone on him. The CM was, however, rescued safely by his security guards. 

The news agency said that Kumar’s security personnel suffered injuries in the incident.

“The CM was rescued safely. Although, the security persons have received some injuries in the attack,” officials said.

As per the media reports, people of Nandan village wanted him to visit the Dalit basti which led to a disagreement followed by stone pelting. 

The Chief Minister is on a state-wide tour since December 12 to take a stock of state government's development schemes.
