Haryana Municipal Election Results 2025: The elections for Mayors, Presidents, and ward members across various Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, and Municipal Committees in Haryana were held on March 2.

Haryana Municipal Election Results 2025: The counting of votes for the Haryana municipal elections to elect the mayors and ward members of various municipal corporations across the state is underway. The elections for seven municipal corporations- Gurugram, Manesar, Faridabad, Hisar, Rohtak, Karnal, and Yamunanagar- were held on March 2, while the voting for the Panipat municipal corporation was held separately on March 9. Bypolls for the mayors' posts in Ambala and Sonipat and the election of the presidents and ward members in 21 municipal committees were also held on March 2.

    BJP's win in Rohtak, Sirsa

    According to the Haryana Election Commission, the BJP secured victories in the mayoral polls in Rohtak and Sirsa. In Rohtak, BJP candidate Ram Avatar Valmiki won by a margin of 45,198 votes, while in Sirsa, BJP’s Shanti Swaroop clinched the win in the final round of counting with a margin of 12,779 votes.

    BJP candidate Praveen Joshi ahead by 227,768 votes in Faridabad

    After completion of five rounds of counting of votes for the Mayor's election in Municipal Corporation Faridabad, BJP candidate Praveen Joshi has taken a lead of 227768 votes. Her victory is considered certain. A total of 13 rounds of counting are to be done. 602070 votes were cast in the corporation election. BJP's Praveen Joshi has got 304434 votes so far, her nearest rival Congress' Lata Rani has got 76666 votes. Among other candidates, Nisha Dalal Faujdar of Aam Aadmi Party got only 20679 votes, BSP's Mansa Paswan got 19454 votes. Among the other two independent candidates, Anjana Sharma got 6970 and Sangeeta Yadav got 9686 votes. NOTA got 7405 votes.

    Independent candidate win Manesar Mayor election

    In a setback for the BJP, independent candidate Dr Inderjit Yadav has won the Manesar Mayor election, defeating BJP's Sundar Lal by a margin of 2,235 votes. With this victory, Yadav becomes the new Mayor of Manesar, marking the only mayoral seat in Haryana where the BJP was unable to secure a win in the ongoing municipal elections.

    1. BJP's Sundar Atri defeated independent candidate Pankaj Mehta by 1,385 votes for the post of chairman of Bawani Khera Municipality. Sundar Atri got 5,202 votes while Pankaj Mehta got 3,817 votes.
