Netflix on Tuesday unveiled its slate of upcoming projects for 2026 at a grand event titled 'What’s Next on Netflix' in Mumbai. A fresh lineup of series and films across different genres was announced.

Among them, Siddharth P Malhotra's Ikka, featuring Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna, grabbed attention. The legal drama marks the reunion of these two actors after 29 years since the 1997 film Border.

Social media users quickly reacted to the first teaser of Ikka, praising the performances of Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna. One user wrote, "Tara Singh & Rehman Dakait crossover". Another fan commented, "Didn't expect Netflix was cooking with Sunny and Akshay." "Sunny deol vs akshay khanna what a Collab (sic)," another comment read.

Ikka: Cast and plot

Besides Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna, the film will feature Tillotama Shome, Dia Mirza, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Jyoti Mukerji in important roles. The Netflix thriller is about a top lawyer who must defend a man connected to his painful past. The film is full of suspense, emotions, and a father's fight to protect his family, even if it risks his own integrity.

Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna's work front

On the work front, Sunny Deol was recently seen in the war drama Border 2, playing the role of Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler alongside Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. Meanwhile, Akshaye Khanna has been in the spotlight for his portrayal of gangster Rehman Dakait in Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar Part 1.
