New Delhi: An editorial published in weekly Hindu Sabha Varta has thrown a challenge to all three leading Bollywood Khans Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan to convert to Hinduism if they really love their wives.
As quoted by a leading daily, Munna Kumar Singh, the Editor and Publisher of the weekly, says, “If these Muslim actors love their wives, why do their wives have to convert to Islam and adopt Muslim culture? Why can't they continue to retain their Hindu title instead of taking on the title of their Muslim husbands”?
Besides the three Khans, the Hindu Mahasabha has targeted Fardeen Khan and Emraan Hashmi for marrying Hindu women.
As per editorial there is pressure on filmmakers to cast Muslim male actors with Hindu actresses. “Once Hindu girls see Muslim actors doing Hindu roles with Hindu actresses, they don't find it immoral to be with Muslim men. They start looking for their heroes in Muslim men living in their vicinity,” said Munna Singh.
The said article in the Hindu Sabha Varta magazine, states that it is because of these films and actors that Hindu girls find marrying Muslim men perfectly normal. These Muslim actors have become an inspiration for the ‘love jihad' to be perpetuated.
The report added that the editor of the weekly described their wives as victims of ‘love jihad'.
Shah Rukh is married to Gauri Khan, Aamir Khan to Kiran Rao and Saif Ali Khan to Kareena Kapoor.
