New Delhi: It looks like yesterday, when the young Kapoor lad - Ranbir Kapoor was seen showing off his chocolate boy looks in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Saawariya'.

Remember how Ranbir Kapoor's jovial nature, cute looks and of course that sexy towel scene in ‘Saawariya' made several girls skip a heart beat? Even the entire B-town was smitten by his charm.

And today, after eight years of his debut Ranbir Kapoor has grown up to a much mature actor and person yet he still has the charm of a debutant.

Yes! It's been eight ever since Ranbir entered Bollywood. While in this span he did several films, however, there are some roles in which Ranbir Kapoor succeeded in leaving a mark.

So, as the young Kapoor completes eight years in the glam industry we bring to you some of his best performances so far.

Wake Up Sid

Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, Wake Up Sid was released in 2009. The film was the story of a spoiled, careless rich-kid Sid which was played by Ranbir Kapoor and his bond with an aspiring writer Aisha played by Konkona Sen Sharma.

While the film was a hit at the box office, Ranbir's performance in the film was appreciated and he also won several awards for the film including the 2010 Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor.

Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year

Another 2009 release, Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year was helmed by Shimit Amin under YRF films. The movie was about an average B.Com graduate who turned out to be a remarkable salesman.

Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year revolves around Harpreet Singh Bedi played by Ranbir Kapoor, his aspirations and his journey to success with his idealistic vision.

Though the film did an average business on the box office, yet Ranbir Kapoor's performance was highly appreciated in the film and he also won the 2010 Filmfare Best Actor (Critic's Choice) award.

Rajneeti

A political thriller drama, Rajneeti was directed by Prakash Jha. The film also starred Ajay Devgan, Nana Patekar, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee and Naseeruddin Shah in the lead roles.

Released in 2010, Rajneeti was a huge box office hit. The movie drew parallels to the epic Mahabharata where shades of Krishna (Nana Patekar), Arjuna (Ranbir Kapoor), Bhima (Arjun Rampal), Duryodhana (Manoj Bajpai) and Karna (Ajay Devgan) can be seen in the actors' characters.

Despite of being a multi-starrer film, Ranbir Kapoor left a mark with his intense acting skills.

Rockstar

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Rockstar starring Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri was released in 2011.

Rockstar revolves around Janardhan Jakhar a.k.a. JJ or Jordan played by Ranbir Kapoor who aspires to be a rockstar, his love story and his journey to success and then failure.

While the movie was a semi-hit at the box office, Ranbir Kapoor turned out to be the star of the film along with music director A.R Rahman.

Rockstar won numerous awards and so did Ranbir Kapoor for the film including 57th Filmfare Award for Best Actor and Best Actor (Critic).

Barfi

Barfi, an Anurag Basu film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D'Cruz released in 2012.

Barfi revolves around a mute and deaf Nepali boy from Darjeeling, Murphy Johnson who eventually turned out being called as Barfi.

The film turned out to be a huge box-office, Barfi was highly acclaimed and Ranbir Kapoor also won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for the film.
