Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra, who was last seen in Namastey England opposite Arjun Kapoor, will be sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar for the first time in Kesari. The shooting of the film has ended today and to mark the day, Parineeti shared her look for the upcoming film.

Taking to Twitter, she shared Kesari new poster with a caption that read, "Anytime I watched a war movie, it was the love story of those brave men that kept me going..so proud to be a part of this epic experience!!! Thank you Akshay sir, Kjo & Anurag sir for allowing me to be a part of your vision".

Sharing the same poster, filmmaker Karan Johar said, "Film wrap for @akshaykumar and @parineetichopra !! A true historic account of one of the bravest battles ever fought!!!! #KESARI!!! Releasing 21st March 2019!!! So proud to have told this story.... directed by Anurag Singh!!"

Recently, Akshay Kumar revealed new Kesari posters on the occasion of Saragarhi Day. The handsome hunk was  seen donning the traditional heavy turban.

The Kesari posters have Akshay leading the pack of turbaned Sikhs in uniforms, ready to rip apart the opponents.

Earlier, Akshay Kumar shared a pic from the sets in which he was clicked with kids. He captioned the image as, “Innocent smiles galore on set today! Shooting with these lovely children playing Afghani kids in #Kesari based on the Battle Of Saragarhi, one of the bravest battles fought in India.

Kesari, which is based on the Battle of Saragarhi, also features Parineeti Chopra in a pivotal role. The battle was fought between the British Indian Army that consisted of 21 Sikh Soldiers and Afghan Orakzai Tribesmen in North-West Frontier Province.

Akshay Kumar is playing the role of Havildar Ishwar Singh in the film, who led the Sikhs in the fight. The films required Kumar to do a number of action scenes which are being coordinated by stunt coordinator Lawrence Woodward of the Oscar-winning Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) fame.

“I have been shooting for ‘Kesari’ since the last one and a half months, and every time that I wear the taaj (turban) on my head, I am filled with pride,” Akshay Kumar talked about his role in Kesari in an eariler interview.
