‘Hum Paanch’, in the history of Indian television industry, earned itself the tag of cult classic. So, obviously when the star cast of the serial met for a reunion recently, the fans got treated with epic pictures.

The cast reunited for a special episode to celebrate successful completion of 25 years of Zee TV. The channel is reported to air a three hour long episode which will feature stars of iconic shows coming together.

It was during this reunion that the Mathur girls met and the smile on their faces told their happiness tale.

Actress Vidya Balan, who played the role of geeky Radhika in the serial posed with her on-screen family at the event. While Vidya, her on screen mother Shoma Anand (Mrs Mathur), sisters Bhairavi Raichura (Kajal Bhai) and Vandana Pathak (Menaakshi) made it to the event, Mr. Anand Mathur (played by Ashok Saraf) failed to attend the event. To compensate for his absence his cut out was put on stage.

Here are the pictures from the event:

Hum Paanch

‘Hum Paanch’ produced by Balaji Telefims, revolved around the story of a middle class family. The five daughters of Mr. Mathur were known to create troubles for him on a daily basis. If his daughters provided him some recluse some day, Mr. Mathur remained torn between his two wives- one living and other dead (who used to talk from her portrait).

These pictures would have brought back memories related to the Mathur family for their fans forcing many to fish the Internet to see reruns of the show.
