CTET result 2026: CTET certificate is now valid for lifetime. The qualified candidates can use their CTET certificate to apply for teaching vacancies in central government schools, state schools.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December exam result 2026 has been declared. The candidates who had appeared for CTET can check the result on the official website - ctet.nic.in. CBSE CTET was held on February 7 and 8, 2026.
CTET certificate is now valid for lifetime. The qualified candidates can use their CTET certificate to apply for teaching vacancies in central government schools, state schools.
Career, job opportunities
The CTET qualified candidates can apply for teaching positions in central government schools - Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS). Apart from central government schools, the qualified candidates can apply for teaching roles in state government schools, private schools and CBSE affiliated institutions.
The remuneration for PRT (Primary Teacher) in KVS and NVS varied from Rs 35,000 to 1.12 lakh, TGT- Rs 44,000 to 1.42 lakh, PGT - Rs 47,500 to 1.51 lakh.
Apart from schools, the candidates can think of alternative career options in tuition industry, Ed-Tech platforms. A handsome monthly income of Rs 10,000 to a lakh can be expected as per experience and cities (tier one, two and three).
CTET cut off
The cut off to qualify CTET is 60 per cent for the general category and 55 per cent for reserved category candidates - SC, ST, OBC and differently-abled candidates.

To download CTET scorecard PDF, candidates need to visit the CTET portal - ctet.nic.in and click on CTET scorecard PDF link. Use application number, date of birth as the required login credentials. CBSE CTET scorecard 2026 PDF will be available for download on the screen. Save CBSE CTET scorecard 2026 PDF and take a hard copy out of it.
