An autorickshaw driver allegedly flashed at a nineteen-year-old girl on Saturday in Mumbai. The incident took place while she was jogging in posh Hiranandani Powai.
According to a report in a local tabloid, the girl who is a management student, was out for jogging when the incident took place. The girl immediately tweeted to Mumbai police about the incident. A team was sent to the location to help her.
"Around 11.54 pm I was jogging in Hiranandani. I ran towards the lake, saw the highway and turned back, I spotted a few men there and was a little paranoid, so I sat on the steps of a bank's ATM. I was looking at my phone and when I lifted my head there was a man in an auto looking at me. I soon realized that he was masturbating," the girl told Mumbai Mirror.
The girl told the team that the man was bearded and wear a 'khaki' auto driver's uniform. she shared her horrifying ordeal and said She said that she was too shocked and frightened to confront him that she could not note down the vehicle's plate number.
She said, "I have been living in Mumbai since 2015, but this is the first time I have encountered such a situation." "I assume there are CCTVs at the spot, since there are many office complexes nearby," she added.
"This is a serious issue and we are looking into it. We will be making inquiries with auto drivers who operate in the area. We are making all efforts to trace the suspect," a police officer told media.
