Microbes trapped under seafloor for 100 million years revived
Science | Jul 29, 2020, 10:29 AM ISTA team of scientists from Japan and America has successfully revived tiny microbes trapped in a lifeless zone of the seabed for more than 100 million years. According to the scientists, they were looking to see whether microscopic life survives in the less-than-hospitable conditions beneath the seafloor of the Pacific Ocean.
