  Drug use increased 30% in India in last decade: UN report

  The United Nation's latest report on drug use revealed a 30 per cent increase on 2009 with regards to the consumption of narcotics with some 35 million people worldwide suffering from drug disorders, thanks to in-depth surveys conducted in India and Nigeria.

  New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee today expressed concern over the growing alcoholism and drug abuse and advocated a comprehensive programme with focus on making the addicts productive members of society after getting them off alcohol
