Imran Raza Ansari

Imran Raza Ansari is the Jammu and Kashmir People's Conference (JKPC) leader and a former MLA from the Pattan Assembly constituency. In the 2014 Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections, Ansari won the Pattan seat as a Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP) nominee by defeating Jammu and Kashmir National Conference's (JKNC) Aga Syed Mehmood Al Mosavi with a margin of 9,334 votes. Ansari is the son of Iftikhar Hussain Ansari, who represented the Pattan seat four times in 1983, 1996, 2002, and 2008. Imran Raza Ansari became the minister of Information Technology, Technical Education, Youth Service and Sports in the JKPDP-BJP coalition government. Ansari has also served as the president of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association. He is again contesting from the Pattan constituency in the 2024 Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections against JKPDP's Javid Iqbal Ganaie, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference's (JKNC) Javaid Riyaz, and Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party's (JKAP) Reyaz Ahmad Sheikh.
