Sushant Death Case LIVE Updates: Special Court to pronounce order on Rhea, Showik's bail plea tomorrow
Actress Rhea Chakraborty, girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput, was sent to Judicial Custody and lodged at Byculla Jail, Mumbai on Wednesday for 14 days till September 22. The actress was arrested on Tuesday and had to spend her night in NCB's safe lockup before being shifted to the Byculla Women's Jail. Today, Sessions Court will hear the bail plea of the actress in which she has stated that she was coerced into making self-incriminatory confessions during custody.
Actress Rhea Chakraborty was sent to Judicial Custody and lodged at Byculla Jail, Mumbai on Wednesday for 14 days till September 22 in connection to the drugs angle in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. The actress was arrested on Tuesday and had to spend her night in NCB's safe lockup before being shifted to the Byculla Women's Jail. Her legal team had applied for bail which was rejected. Today, Sessions Court will hear the bail plea of the actress in which she has stated that she was coerced into making self-incriminatory confessions during custody. In the 20-page bail application, Rhea has stated that she is "innocent and has not committed any crime whatsoever. The applicant has been falsely implicated in the present case".

The application also stated that no drugs or psychotropic substances have been seized from the Rhea, and "the allegations, if any, would pertain strictly to small quantities", thus the offence is bailable in nature. "The allegations against the present applicant would at the most make out a case of purchasing small quantities of drugs which is in essence a bailable offense. There is not a shred of evidence to connect the applicant with financing any illicit traffic or harbouring any offenders," the application read.

On the other hand, Rhea's brother Showik Chakraborty, Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda, cook Dipesh Sawant and drug peddlers Zaid Vilatra and Abdel Basit Parihar were produced before the Esplanade court on Wednesday, where their custody was extended. The accused have been sent to judicial custody for 14-days till September 23.

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has opposed the bail application filed by Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik Chakraborty, who was arrested in a drug case linked with Sushant Singh Rajput's death case and stated that he is an active member of drug syndicate connected with drug supplies. While opposing the bail to Showik, NCB said that if released on bail he may temper with the evidence and also will try to win the witness by using her (Rhea) position in the society and money power.

Shibani's Wiki page vandalized
The Wikipedia page of anchor-actress Shibani Dandekar was vandalised and information in the page was distorted on Thursday afternoon, shortly after she criticised Ankita Lokhande, former girlfriend of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The description at the top of the page read: "Shibani Dandekar (born 27 August 1980) is an Indian singer, actress, anchor and a gold digger scumbag. She began her flop-career working as a television anchor in American television. Following her return to India, she began searching for a rich parasite who'll be hosting some fame to her. , so she settled for a B-Grade Oblivion Actor, Farhan Akhtar(50 years old). Other than being his temporary girlfriend, she pukes on Twitter with some 200K+ BOT-sycophants. She tweets stupid stuff without using her brain just to get fame , she has also shown support to criminals."
Not only this, the Biography section talks about the actress' relationship status as: "Dandekar has been in a polygamous relationship with Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar since 2018."

Kushal Zaveri, television director and friend of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has criticised anchor-actress Shibani Dandekar, saying she needs to check facts before commenting on actress Ankita Lokhande. Kushal came in support of Ankita after Shibani called her a "princess of patriarchy".
"I don't think Ankita has said anything wrong …she was with Sushant for more than 7 years…if anyone has the right to speak about this case it's her and Sushant's family members…and she never spoke against Rhea, infact Rhea started targeting her in all her paid PR interviews…someone needs to check the facts before demeaning Ankita," Kushal wrote on his Instagram Stories.

The Sessions Court of Mumbai reserved its decision on Thursday. Meanwhile, the confession of Showik Chakraborty has emerged. In this confession of 6 pages, he has admitted that he used to ask for drugs. But Showik has put the blame on Sushant Singh Rajput and said that he is a college student and has never consumed drugs himself. Showik said that he met Sushant through Rhea and their friendship started due to Sushant's sociable nature.

Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer Satish Maneshinde claims that the actress should be given bail as no narcotics substance was found on the actress or during her house search. He also claims that Rhea has cooperated with the investigation throughout and will continue to do so. The lawyer further says that Rhea had been procuring drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput because he was an addict.
On the other hand, NCB has claimed that they are yet to interrogate Rhea's tablet which is why they need her to be in custody so that she doesn't hamper the evidence or act as a hurdle in the investigation.

Coerced to make self-incriminating confessions: Rhea Chakraborty in bail plea
Rhea Chakraborty, who was arrested in Mumbai by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday, filed this plea after a magistrate court rejected her bail application. The plea, filed by her lawyer Satish Maneshinde said, "During her (NCB) custody, the applicant (Rhea) was coerced into making self-incriminating confessions. The actor has formally retracted all such incriminating confessions."
In the plea, she also said that her arrest is "unwarranted and without any justification". "The actor''s liberty has arbitrarily beencurtailed," it added. The plea also said that no female officer was present during her interrogation. Rhea was arrested after three days of questioning by the NCB. She is currently in judicial custody.
