Cameron later became the Head of Corporate Communications at Carlton Television in 1994. Two years later, in 1996, Cameron married Samantha Sheffield. Samantha was friend of Cameron's sister Clare who had invited Samantha for a family holiday with the Camerons to Tuscany. The couple fell for each other during the holidays.
