The Central Bureau of Investigation had issued a red corner notice against Nikhil Shetty, as he was wanted by Mumbai and Mangalore police.
Sources said, Shetty was admitted to a private hospital in Dubai under strict police vigil, soon after his arrest.
The Dubai police intimated CBI about the arrest through the Ministry of External Affairs, which, in turn , informed Mumbai and Mangalore police.
Sources said, there are two cases against Shetty in Mumbai and half a dozen cases in Mangalore and Hyderabad, which include extortion, firing, attempt to murder and drugs peddling.
