    Mukesh Ambani to forego salary, RIL board members to take pay cut

    Mukesh Ambani, Reliance Industries Chairman will forego his salary in the wake of the situation arising out of the coronavirus outbreak, the company said according to a report published in CNBC TV 18. RIL made the announcement in a letter to its employees on April 29. 

    "In a letter to employees dated April 29, Reliance Industries' executive director Hital R. Meswani stated that Ambani will forego his entire compensation. Additionally, the company’s board of directors, including executive directors, executive committee members and senior leaders will forego 30-50 per cent of their compensation," the report said. 

    Employees in the hydrocarbons business with salaries above Rs 15 lakh per annum will see a 10 per cent pay cut.

    Pune Police orders closure of all shops in hotspots

    Pune Police has ordered closure of all shops other than hospitals and medical stores between May 1 and May 3. This order is applicable in 23 hotspots in the city.

    Shops selling milk will be allowed to remain open between 10 am and 12 pm. Delivery of milk will be allowed between 6 am and 10 am.

    Coronavirus cases in India cross 33,000-mark; 1,074 deaths

    Coronavirus cases in India have crossed 33,000-mark taking positive patients toll to 33,050 including 1,074 deaths and 8,325 recovered, according to health ministry's figures released on Thursday.
