Muzaffarnagar violence; 41,000 people homeless in 38 refugee camps

Muzaffarnagar, UP: The state administration has admitted that there are still 41,000 people who are homeless and staying in 38 refugee camps in the aftermath of the communal violence that swept the region on Saturday

The homeless people have been lodged inside government schools across the district, as these have been converted into temporary refugee shelters.

There are three big refugee camps in Budhana town alone. The riot-affected people are clamouring for food. Most of the families have lost their homes and their belongings, and fled with only the clothes they were wearing.
