Shah Rukh Khan turned a year older and perhaps, wittier on Saturday. The superstar has won over the entire nation with his inherent charm and sense of humour. He was last seen as a dwarf in Aanand L Rai’s Zero and fans are awaiting a big announcement on Saturday.

The superstar’s journey has been one of its shares of ups and downs. SRK detailed this as he appeared on India TV’s show Aap Ki Adalat. He also revealed he does not ask for remuneration for his work in the movies. He, instead, asks for producers to invest more in the movie to make it better.

SRK recalled, "We were shooting for the climax of 'Happy New Year' and the producers did not have the required money to erect the set. I suggested I should perform at a wedding and raise the money. The next day I read on Twitter I was referred to as the second richest actor in the world. I got so upset [at the irony of the reportage]."

He, however, on a serious note clarified the news was false.
