In a race of new smartphone design that has nearly reached its saturation point, Xiaomi on 5th February filled a new design patent in the Global Design Database of WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) that hints to a full-screen smartphone with rounded off corners on all four sides and dual rear cameras.

Similar to what we saw in the Samsung S-series, the edges in the new patent point to slight curves both on the top and bottom. Interestingly, there seem to be no bezels in the bottom and come with USB Type-C connection. With no chin on the top and bottom, we can expect an in display camera just like the fingerprint scanner.
Xiaomi
Xiaomi back in 2018 acquired Meitu selfie app, which we think that the company would definitely bundle selfie specs features. So far, it's unclear as to when Xiaomi would launch this phone, but considering the likes of Meizu and Vivo that could be bringing similar phones with no buttons on the smartphone Xiaomi won't be delaying the launch any longer. Other than this Xiaomi is working on a foldable device that was surfaced not too long ago. Chances are we could see more about the device in MWC 2019, where the company is expected to also unveil its first 5G smartphone.
