Tamil Nadu: Explosion at firecracker factory in Virudhunagar, three injured

An explosion took place at a firecracker manufacturing factory in Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu. According to reports, three people were injured in the incident.

Tamil Nadu: At least three people were injured in an explosion at a firecracker manufacturing factory in Virudhunagar district on Tuesday.

All the deceased have been admitted to Sivakasi Government Hospital for treatment.

A few days ago, at least nine people were killed after a Tenkasi-bound tourist bus fell into a gorge while taking a sharp turn near Coonoor in the Nilgiris district. The accident took place on September 30.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his anguish over the incident and also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the kin of the victims.
