An inspection was scheduled for 3 pm IST but was put off after it started raining again. The outfield is pretty wet and is expected to take time to dry up as there's no sunshine. After heavy showers in the past two days, Thursday has been relatively drier although it remains overcast. Even if the match happens, it is expected to be a curtailed one as there is a forecast of intermittent showers through the day. It will be a cracker of a contest between the two teams. India vs New Zealand, Highlights from Nottingham: Match called off due to rain

19.33 IST: What an anti-climax this has turned out to be. This is the fourth washout in this edition of the World Cup - the highest a World Cup has ever seen. India and New Zealand have shared points, and Virat Kohli's side has now climbed up to 3rd position in the point-table with 5 points. New Zealand remains first with 7 points, while Australia are 2nd.

19.30 IST: OFFICIAL: Match abandoned due to rain. 

19.13 IST: UPDATE: Next inspection to take place at 7:30 PM, which is about 17 minutes from now. The ground staff has stopped working, which probably hints that the chances for a match are a bare minimum. 

17.18 IST: Sadly, it has been raining again, and this time, the showers are rather steady. It looks increasingly likely that we may not see the action today.
