Sonia: Media should also look at corruption in non-Congress ruled states

New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi today said, media was free to point out "mistakes" by Congress-ruled governments, but it should also look at corruption in state governments run by other parties as well. Speaking

"Look at us by all means and point out our mistakes but look at others also," she said while pointing out that the UPA government has already got the Lokpal bill passed to check corruption.

On yesterday's press conference by Rahul Gandhi, she said, "I think the point has been missed of yesterday's meeting. Yesterday's meeting was on Lokayukta and inflation and the discussion during the meeting centred around how the Chief Ministers could act, what legislation and action they can take to fight corruption and inflation."

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and all other senior Congress leaders were present at the function held at the AICC headquarters. Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh distributed sweets among children.
