New Delhi: The Scottish castle Mingary Castle near Kilchoan on the Ardnamurchan peninsula was constructed in 13th century. The castle fell into ruin about 600 years after its construction.

It is roughly hexagonal in shape with nine-foot-thick walls, thicker on the seaward side.

It has lain untouched since it was abandoned more than 200 years ago.

It is owned by Donald Houston, of the Ardnamurchan Estate, who has asked archaeologists to restore the structure to its former glory at a cost of £2million.

During its renovation archaeologists here came across with a mysterious room which has never been opened since 13th century and houses bone structures.
