Stating that he has been emphasising the need for Indian educational institutions to give importance to enhancing their global rankings, the President expressed happiness that these efforts were bearing fruit.
A delegation comprising representatives from QS World University, ICAA, British Council, FICCI and KPMG were present during the presentation which was held yesterday at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The President told the delegation that Indian authorities will extend all possible cooperation to them in obtaining necessary information in the appropriate format from Indian higher educational institutions.
He said higher educational institutions should be transparent and all relevant information should be published on their websites.
After IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay came in at the 41st position while IIT Kanpur secured the 52nd spot on the list.
