Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid Verdict: Section 144 imposed in Ayodhya District
Section 144 has been imposed in Ayodhya District by the District Magistrate in anticipation of Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid dispute verdict. Section 144 will be in effect until December 10. Ayodhya District administration is on alert.
A five-judge Constitution bench headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, which started the day-to-day proceedings on August 6 after mediation proceedings failed to find an amicable solution to the vexatious dispute, has revised the deadline for wrapping up the proceedings and has fixed it on October 17 READ MORE

Passengers on board Vande Bharat Express stranded after train develops technical snag
Passengers on board the Varanasi-Delhi Vande Bharat Express were on Sunday stranded inside the train for around an hour without fan, air conditioning and lights when its auxiliary converter failed, officials said on Sunday.
The train's AC stopped working 10 minutes before reaching Allahabad station at 4:50 pm. The defect was rectified, cooling ensured and it left at around 6.00 pm, they said. READ MORE

As Financial Action Task Force (FTAF), the global financial watchdog meets on Sunday in Paris, deliberation will be on to decide whether Pakistan should be blacklisted for terrorism financing. 4.5 magnitude quake hits Rajasthan's Bikaner
A 'low intensity' earthquake of 4.5 magnitude shook Rajasthan's Bikaner district on Sunday, a Meteorological (Met) department official said.
The earthquake hit Bikaner around 10.36 am, the official said.
No casualty or damage to property has been reported so far in the earthquake, a district administration official said.
People rushed out of their homes in some areas after feeling the tremors, he said.
The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km, regional MeT department director Shiv Ganesh said.

The Odd-Even scheme is set to return to Delhi for third time from November 4 to 15, and state Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot has promised that the state government will make no exceptions for its ministers and he himself will be seen travelling by the Metro, buses or carpool during the period.

Pakistan Rangers violated ceasefire by resorting to mortar shelling and small arms firing on forward posts and villages along the International Border in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Sunday.
The firing from across the border started in Manyari-Chorgali area of Hiranagar sector around 8.45 pm on Saturday and continued intermittently through the night, they said.

BJP releases Haryana poll manifesto; promises interest free crop loan
The BJP on Sunday released its election manifesto for the October 21 Haryana assembly polls and said this was a “commitment paper” that represented all sections of society.
The BJP, which described its poll manifesto as a 'Sankalp Patra', promised to give collateral free loan of up to Rs 3 lakh to people belonging to the scheduled caste community, if voted to power again.
It also pledged to give interest free crop loan of up to Rs 3 lakh to farmers.
