Trolls call Masaba Gupta an ‘illegitimate child’, but the lady gets back to it like a queen she is!

Masaba Gupta, in her earlier post, lauded SC's ban over firecracker sale in Delhi NCR for 22 days.

A couple of days ago, Supreme Court created a stir for its ban over sale of firecrackers in Delhi-NCR for 22 days. Many celebrities lauded this step taken by SC to curb pollution, and just like them, ace designer Masaba Gupta also tweeted her support to the decision on her Twitter account. But as many are calling over this move as ‘religiously biased’. Gupta’s support didn't go very well with those who are opposing this move.

While criticising the designer for her support towards SC’s firecracker ban, a Twitter troll went way too ahead and called her an ‘illegitimate child’. But Masaba isn’t one of those celebrities who can take a backseat when he’s being called something as distasteful as this. She took no time to shut down a troll through an open letter. Here’s what the ‘Queen of Sass’ wrote:

Masaba Gupta post on Twitter

In the post, Masaba also talks about her early struggles when she was called an illegitimate child. She said that she has become immune to these two words.

Someone wrote nasty comments like, “@MasabaG please go back to your Father*&^% so that you can avoid Deepawali. And ya stop using F***ing AC to save environment. Thanks in advance”

Irrational people believed that her opinions about something of national interest doesn’t matter due to her parental lineage.

She wrote: “By calling me names like ‘bas***d child’ or ‘illegitimate west Indian’ it only makes my chest swell with pride. I’m the illegitimate product of two of the MOST legitimate personalities you’ll find & I’ve made the best life, both personally and professionally... out of which I’m proud of,” proudly mentioning her mother Neena Gupta and Sir Viv Richards.

Masaba Gupta wasn’t going to let her trolls run loose on social media. She called them out and taught them a lesson.
