There is a latest case that has been solved by the doctors of Kerala where the removed an unusual object from a woman’s eye when she reported an irritation in her eyes.

A patient named Lalitha recently visited Ernakulam General Hospital when she started having irritation in her eyes. But she was unaware of the fact that there was a presence of worm in her eyes which caused her irritation and uneasiness. The doctors opted for a surgery and after a 10-minute-long surgery, the doctors removed a 70mm worm of Dirofilaria genus from her eye.

The patient was given a local anaesthesia before the surgery was conducted successfully to remove the unlikely visitor. The worm present in her eyes is known to cause Elephantiasis but she was lucky enough to get it removed before it affected her.
