Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut went to her partially-demolished office building in Mumba's Pali Hills area on Thursday, soon after the Bombay High Court adjourned hearing till September 22 over the demolition drive by BMC.

Actress Kangana Ranaut visited her partially demolished office in Mumbai on Thursday. The BMC demolished the actress' Bandra office for alleged unauthorized modifications and extensions. While Kangana claimed that no renovation work was being done at her office and there has been no illegal construction, her plea was rejected by the BMC who continued to demolish her property. The actress shared photographs and videos of the damage done while she arrived in Mumbai. Her lawyer moved to the Bombay High Court that later passed a stay order on the demolition.

After breaking the Bandra office, Kangana Ranaut revealed that she has been threatened that next will be her house in Khar. For this, permission has been sought from the civil court. Today, Bombay HC will hear Kangana's petition at 3 pm. The court has sought answers from BMC for their actions. BMC has claimed that many changes have been made in the actress' flat as well. It is being told that BMC can take action after the stay of the court on the flat is removed. According to the BMC, the notice was given in March 2018. The BMC has filed a petition in the civil court against Kangana and sought permission to break the illegal construction.

    Kangana's office floored: BMC followed SC verdict

    The BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)'s move to demolish Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut's office a day ago that attracted huge flak was in tune with a Supreme Court judgment pertaining to illegal constructions, officials said here on Thursday.

    On October 24, 2019, in a landmark verdict which settling a law of land, the Supreme Court had empowered the BMC to demolish any illegal constructions immediately after a 24-hour notice served as per provisions of law laid down by the apex court, said well known barrister Vinod Tiwari.

    "This crucial judgement came in a case of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai versus M/s. Sunbeam High Tech Developers Pvt. Ltd. (CA. No: 7626/7627 of 2019) which has empowered the BMC in such cases of illegal constructions to carry out demolitions," Tiwari told IANS.

    Mumbai cops provide security outside Kangana's house, office

    Mumbai police have made security arrangements outside Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut''s residence in suburban Khar and her bungalow-cum-office in Bandra, an official said on Thursday. The "Queen" actor has already been given Y-plus category security cover by the Centre in the wake of a row over her remarks in which she likened Mumbai to Pakistan- Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and criticised the city police. The Shiv Sena has slammed her for her statements.

    Ranaut returned to Mumbai from her home state Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday, hours after the Sena-ruled Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished "illegal alterations" at her Bandra bungalow. "A police van with officials has been deployed outside her residence in Khar to tackle with any untoward incident. Women constables are also a part of the team," the official said.

    "Besides, outside her Pali Hill bungalow, which was partially demolished by the civic body yesterday, similar security arrangements have been made," he said.
