Ayushmann Khurrana’s latest release Badhaai Ho has successfully manged to attract fans at theatres. Amid series of other Bollywood releases, Badhaai Ho remained the first choice of moviegoers. Amit Sharma’s directorial venture Badhaai Ho opened at Rs 7.92 crore at box-office. The film has earned a total of Rs 69.50 crore till day nine.
Apart from Ayushmann, Badhaai Ho also features Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao in pivotal roles. Badhaai Ho revolves around two characters Priyamvada (played by Neena) and Jeetender Kaushik played by (Gajraj). Ayushmann’s film is a romantic/comedy drama, is mainly based on story of a family dealing with an unexpected and unplanned pregnancy of an elderly couple, which lead to social embarrassment.
Film critic and trade analysts Taran Adarsh stating the collection of Badhaai Ho, wrote, ‘’#BadhaaiHo remains unaffected by the plethora of new releases... Remains the first choice of moviegoers... North circuits are contributing enormously to its super score... Expected to grow on second Sat and Sun... [Week 2] Fri 3.40 cr. Total: ₹ 69.50 cr. India biz.’’
