Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Friday said that she felt insulted by former Janata Dal-United president Sharad Yadav's body shaming remark against her.

"I actually feel insulted and it's not only about me, women in general are insulted," Raje told reporters after casting her vote in home constituency Jhalrapatan.

Raje urged the Election Commission to take note of such language to set an example for future.

"To set an example for future it's important that EC takes cognisance of this kind of language," Raje said.

Addressing a rally in Rajasthan’s Alwar, Sharad Yadav had said, “Vasundhara ko aaram do, bahut thak gayi hain, bahut moti ho gayi hain, pehle patli thi. Humare Madhya Pradesh ki beti hai (Give some rest to Vasundhra, she has become very tired, very fat. She used to be thin. She is our Madhya Pradesh’ daughter).”

Terming the veteran leader's remark as sexist, the BJP had approached the Election Commission with a complaint against him.
