Know the significance of eating 'khichdi' on Makar Sankranti

The country is celebrating the festival of Makar Sankranti. The festive of taking bath and giving out alms keeps a special significance with 'khichdi' of porridge.  It is said that God Gorakshnath loved to eat porridge and that is the reason why he is served with the same on the festival later which it is given to the devotees.
