With the Mobile World Congress approaching later this month, other than the Xperia XZ4, the company is expected to launch another device called the Xperia XA3. According to reports, the Xperia XA3 is likely to come with a 21:9 aspect ratio display upfront.

This will be the latest smartphone under the XA series and will be a successor to the Xperia XA3 Ultra. Given the usual trend of a notch in phones these days, the Xperia XA3 will get a rather unusual design that will come with a 21:9 aspect ratio, i.e a slightly wide edge on the top along with a no-bezel display at the bottom. Nothing on the hardware is known so far but the phone will sport a full HD display panel.

Looking at the leaked images, the phone is said to come with a fingerprint sensor on the side panel, between the volume rocker and power button. On the back is a dual rear camera setup with dual LED flash and at the bottom would be the USB Type-C port along with the speakers. Other reports pointed to the fact that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC backed with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage backed with 3500mAh battery.

Sony Mobile Communications has filed a trademark with EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) for the CinemaWide name that is classified as class 9 with the description. The CinemaWide refers to the 21:9 aspect ratio, which hints to the fact that Sony just might bring extra wide videos with the camera.

With the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2019) just a couple of weeks away, we should know more on the details of the phones.
