In a new update, WhatsApp has rolled out a feature that will allow users to share their WhatsApp status directly on their Facebook story. WhatsApp's status, like the Facebook story, lets users post images, text and videos on their profile that disappear after 24 hours. Though there wasn't any formal announcement from the company, the feature was spotted after the latest update of the app. The feature was first spotted in June, on WhatsApps's beta version.

As soon as you get the update you will see a 'share to Facebook story' option just below 'my status' section in the status tab of WhatsApp. To share your WhatsApp status to your Facebook story, you can click on 'share to Facebook' option and you will be directed to Facebook’s story sharing interface where you can now choose the visibility of the Facebook story before you share it to your Facebook account.

Even in case, you choose to delete your WhatsApp status, your shared Facebook story will remain there till you don’t delete it in Facebook.

WhatsApp is also reported to be testing another feature on its beta version which allows you to hide all the status updates you have muted in your contact list. Until now, all the muted status updates still appeared in a separate section of the status tab but after the update, the muted status will remain hidden under a 'muted update' section.

In 2014, Whatsapp was acquired by Facebook in $ 19 Billion and it is now part of Facebook along with apps like Instagram.
