Instagram, being the most popular apps in the world appears to be crashing for millions of users.

According to reports, the problem began at around 12:30 IST and is affecting millions of users across the globe. The problem relies in the newsfeed that doesn't happen refresh, while many have problems in logging in. Others have reported to have troubles with the website.

There is no official news, as to what could have caused this and there is no timeline, as to when will this issue get resolved.

Many users have taken it up over Twitter venting out the issue and noting their frustration.

It has been less than a day since  Adam Mosseri took charge as the head of Instagram, who replaced the co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger that had left the company in September.

Instagram co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger resigned at a time when social media platforms, including Facebook, were meeting up with intense scrutiny over the spread of fake news.

Instagram was founded in 2010 and was bought by Facebook for $1 billion in 2012. Note that Facebook too is facing issues post the biggest-ever security breach after Cambridge Analytica scandal, in which the social media giant admitted to a hackers breach that broke into nearly 50 million users' accounts.
