Qualcomm had announced the new Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC just few months back. The chip has been made for the next-gen smartwatches that is said to offer a better battery life. Well now, Fossil has announced the Sport Smartwatch that comes powered by the Snapdragon Wear 3100, making it the first smartwatch with the new SoC and all-day battery life.
It features a round dial and comes with an interchangeable silicone strap backed in various colour options for consumers.
It runs on the latest Wear OS platform and is swim-proof too. Fossil has priced the watch at $255 (Rs. 18,500 approx.) for the silicone and leather strap, and $275 (Rs. 20,000 approx.) for the stainless steel strap. The watch will be made available in six different colour options that include pink, red, blue, green, grey and black. It will be coming in two dial sizes of 41mm and 43mm and will come with 28 interchangeable silicone straps.
It supports Google Pay, GPS that aids in tracking all activities, and comes with heart rate sensing as well. For connectivity, the watch gets Bluetooth version 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It is also compatible with Android and iOS smartphones that are Android OS 4.4 Kit Kat and above.
The Fossil Sport smartwatch comes with Google Assistant for voice assistance and in low power mode, the battery can extend up to two days as well.
