England football captain Harry Kane's brace gave the Three Lions an edge in the first round of the group match against Tunisia as Gareth Southgate's team won 2-1 in the FIFA World Cup 2018 opener.
Kane scored in the opening ten minutes of the match and scored the winner in injury time to give England a decent start.
"To score a winner in the World Cup like that is just incredible and watching the celebrations back home and in the stadium like I say, I've been part of that before when I was watching football, so to see it and to be part of it is amazing," the Tottenham striker said, according to IANS reports.
The Tottenham Hotspur striker was named as England skipper by Southgate after the team squad was announced and the results have been delightful so far with Kane leading up front with goals.
"It's what dreams are made of, such a good feeling, so proud of the team, we fought to the end, I thought we played really well, especially in the first half," Kane said, although acknowledging that the team squandered a number of opportunities in the opening minutes.
England, who are clubbed with Panama, Tunisia and Belgium have another task set out as they face the South American nation next. Belgium established their dominance as they beat Panama 3-0 in the first round of the group match.
