Wellington, New Zealand: United Arab Emirates captain Mohammad Tauqir won the toss and sent South Africa in to bat in their World Cup Pool B match at a sunny Wellington Regional Stadium on Thursday.

South Africa brought in Farhaan Behardien for batsman Faf du Plessis, who has a back strain, while Vernon Philander, who has been out with a hamstring injury, replaces fellow paceman Kyle Abbott.

The UAE named three changes, bringing in Kamran Shahzad, Fahad Alhashmi, and Saqlain Haider.

South Africa is will be looking for a big win in its final pool game to not only qualify for the quarterfinals, but ensure a favorable matchup in the final eight by finishing second in its pool.
