Unique shots by cricketers that deserve to be in Hall of Fame

New Delhi: Cricketing in recent times has changed a lot, with players experimenting with different shots, thanks to the shorter format of the game i.e; T20. Nowadays batsmen try unorthodox shots to make quick runs and some made their mark in cricket with playing their favourite shots in each and every match they played.With the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, who played classical shots the best in cricket, and other top players who invented some shots, changed the course of the game.With the inventions of these strange shots we must hope these may get inducted in Cricket's Hall of Fame because of their fan following and popularity.We present you some unique shots played by their masters:Kevin Pietersen's switch hit: Switch hit shot is a very famous shot invented by English player, Kevin Pietersen. Tilakratne Dilshan's Dilscoop: Sri Lankan dashing hitter Dilshan invented one of a kind of a shot which is famously known as Dilscoop. In the shot Dilshan usually covers the stumps bent himself on his left knee and hit the ball over keepers head for clean boundary. Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Helicopter shot: Indian skipper Dhoni is famous for his Helicopter shot. Dhoni just swings his bat to a full length or Yorker delivery and put the ball away into the stands. AB de Villiers' scoop shot: South African batsman de Villiers generally plays his scoop shot in almost every match. He just lean towards off stump and put the ball over the 3rd man area for a definite six. Ricky Ponting's Pull shot: Pull shot generally have so many players who use it on short length deliveries but former Australian batting great Ponting played the shot well. His pull shot is famous as he slammed many fast bowlers on short pitched deliveries with a boundary. Sourav Ganguly's lofted six: Sourav Ganguly has never missed a big six on spinners deliveries. Even his favourite shot was lofted six over mid-on. Sachin Tendulkar's Straight drive: Master blaster is famous for his straight drive. No batsman in the world can come close to him in playing straight drive. Mohammed Azharuddin's special shot: Former Indian skipper and player Azharuddin was famous for his unorthodox shot. He used to hit the ball downwards to the sweeper for a boundary.
