Cape Town, South Africa: Dale Steyn finished with four wickets as South Africa bowled the West Indies out for 329 on the second morning of the third and final test at Newlands on Saturday.

Steyn picked up two of the four wickets remaining to record figures of 4-78, resigning West Indies to no more than a middling total on a good wicket after they had won the toss and elected to bat first.

The West Indies began day two on 276-6 with Jermaine Blackwood unbeaten on 45, and the batsman went to his half-century in the third over of the day when he drove Steyn through extra cover for four.

However he was trapped lbw for 56 in the fast bowler's next over, and it took just six more overs for the South Africans to clean up the tail.

With the West Indians opting to go down swinging, Steyn had Jason Holder caught at mid-on for 23, and Jerome Taylor top-edged a Morne Morkel delivery to fine leg to depart for 13.

Morkel wrapped up the innings soon after when he had Sulieman Benn caught at mid-on for 5, to finish with figures of 2-83.

Offspinner Simon Harmer had 3-71 in his first test innings.

South Africa leads the series 1-0.
