New  Delhi: The  cricketer who played a crucial role  in England's  first test win in nearly a year  is termed by many as a 'part time ' spinner. Moeen Ali has so far taken 15 wickets at an impressive average of 26.46 in the ongoing test series. It was crucial win for England and its skipper Alistair Cook who signaled to return to his batting form. Team India who registered a historic test win at Lord's after twenty eight years had to make a meek surrender at Southampton.

India lost the match before the lunch on day five by a huge margin of 266 runs. Although James Anderson was adjudged the man of the match award , the most crucial part was played by a part time off spinner Mooen Ali, who broke the backbone of  Indian batting at Southampton. He was Alisatir Cook's go to man whenever England needed a wicket.

The inability of the Indian batsmen goes on to show some serious chinks in the Indian batting which was exposed by Ali. Let's take a look on the bowler who seems to have become the latest nemesis of Indian batting.

Only James Anderson has taken more( 16) wickets than Moeen. In the third test he demonstrated his ability of not only the conventional off spin but also drifting the ball away from the right handers and on to the left handers.
