New Delhi, May 16: Three Rajasthan Royals cricketers - S. Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankit Chavan - and 11 other bookies and their assistants were today sent to five days police remand by a Delhi court this evening.

All the 14 accused were produced at the residence of Additional Metropolitan Magistrate in the Saket court complex. Delhi Police wanted seven days remand, but the judge granted five days custody.

Mediapersons were barred from the proceedings.

Delhi Police lawyer told the court that they need to interrogate the accused about the amount of money paid so far, the source of the money, and spotfixing in previous IPL matches, if any.

The three cricketers and the 11 bookies were brought to the court complex amidst tight security and then whisked away after the court proceedings were over.
