New Delhi, May 17: As some TV channels went on overdrive this afternoon to say that Delhi Police has summoned Rajasthan Royals captain Rahul Dravid, and franchise owners actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra, police issued a brief statement saying the news had "no substance".



A statement issued by Delhi Police PRO Rajan Bhagat said: "With reference to news report in section of media that Delhi Police may intrrogate Ms. Shilpa Shetty or Mr Raj Kundra or Mr Rahul Dravid after the IPL match in Delhi on 21st May, 2013.

"This news has no substance and Delhi Police has no reasons to invite them to join investigation of the spot fixing case".

Already, three players of Rajasthan Royals - S. Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ameet Chavan - are behind bars for their involvement in the IPL spotfixing case.  They are in police custody till Monday.
