England vs India 2nd Test Day 4: Updates from London

ENG vs IND 2ND Test: Hello and welcome to the live coverage of England vs India 2nd Test Day 4 on indiatvnews.com. Captain Joe Root scored a fighting 180 not out -- his 22nd century and 11th score of 150-plus -- to help England make 391 in their first innings and gain a 27-run lead against India on the third day of the second Test at Lord's on Saturday. England, who were bowled out on the last ball of the day, batted for 128 overs to defy the Indian bowlers who at times looked clueless and bowled plenty of no-balls. Mohammed Siraj was the pick of the Indian bowlers, taking four wickets for 94 runs while Ishant Sharma chipped in with 3/69, including two off successive deliveries. Mohammed Shami, who took the last wicket, finished with two for 95.

22.23 PM: This looks bad. With new ball just around the corner, India have now lost Ravindra Jadeja as well. It is upto Rishabh Pant to not only steer India's run-rate, but also shield the bowlers from the new leather.

22.11 PM: Wickets in quick succesion for England! Pujara (40) and Rahane (61) depart. India 167/5, lead by 140.

21.51 PM:

21.30 PM: A very fine half-century from Ajinkya Rahane! An innings which will give him much-needed confidence after his place in the XI was questioned following inconsistent outings in the previous few innings.

21.20 PM: Team India's lead surpasses 100 as Pujara and Rahane continue to grit it out in the middle. 131/3, lead by 103. Pujara 37*, Rahane 42*

20.20 PM: A rebuilding phase from Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane as they grit out the entire session. England endure a wicketless post-lunch session, as India take a 78 run lead. India (364 & 105/3) against England (391) at Tea.

17.16 PM: The players return for the second session of the day. India (364 & 56/3) against England (391), lead by 29 runs in London. Pujara 3*, Rahane 1*

17.35 PM: 2nd Test, Day 4: India (364 & 56/3) against England (391) at Lunch, lead by 29 runs in London. Rohit 21, Wood 2/16

17.20 PM: And Kohli's poor run continues. He looked good during his stay on the pitch, but was enticed with a ball outside off which, ideally, should've been left away. A poor shot attempt from the Indian captain and he pays the price. 55/3, lead by 28 runs.

16.55 PM: Kohli and Pujara providing some stability in the middle after couple of early blows to India in the second innings. 41/2 in 17 overs; [lead by 14 runs.

16.29 PM: And the pull shot surprisingly becomes Rohit Sharma's nemesis again! Mark Wood strikes another and India are now in some trouble. 27/2 in 12 overs; scores level.

16.15 PM: OUT! KL Rahul, the centurion from previous innings, goes early this time. Wood pulls back his length a bit and gets the ball to straighten a little after the bounce. Enough to get an outside-edge and a carry towards keeper. India lose first wicket, with 9 runs of deficit yet to be cleared. 18/1 in 9.2 overs.

16.00 PM: A couple of glorious boundaries from Rohit. A classic straight drive against Robinson followed by a flick towards mid-on. India 17/0 in 7 overs. (Rohit 12*, Rahul 4*)

15.30 PM: Indian players take part in the flag hoisting ceremony:
