IND vs SA 3rd ODI Highlights: Arshdeep gets four after Samson's maiden ton as India seal series 2-1

South Africa are set to host the world no.1 ODI side in the third and final match of the series at Paarl's Boland Park on Thursday, December 21. The hosts pulled out a sensational eight-wicket win in the second game to remain alive in the three-match series and will enter today's decider as favourites.

On the other hand, KL Rahul-led India will be eyeing a series win but need to produce their best performance. India last won an ODI series against South Africa under Virat Kohli's leadership in 2018 and have lost all of their two ODI games played against the Proteas in Paarl.

Glad Samson was able to grab his chances here: KL Rahul

Love being around the boys, that's how it's been since I came over to South Africa after some time away following a disappointing World Cup final. Pleased for Sanju, he's been a phenomenal performer in the IPL over the years. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to give him the chance at No. 3, because obviously there are stalwarts in the ODIs who occupy those key spots. Glad he was able to grab his chances here. Will celebrate with the boys and then switch back to focusing on the Test series in a day or two.

Sanju Samson claims Player of the Match award

Proud of it, specially considering the result as well. Have been working hard. This format gives you some extra time to understand the wicket and the bowler's mindset. Batting at the top of the order gives you those 10-20 extra deliveries. The whole country is very proud of how Tilak Verma has stepped up, lot more expected from him. The seniors have set the standards of Indian cricket and the juniors are coming in and doing the job. It's not very easy, traveling in between and playing every 2-3 days but they're getting the job done.

Sanju Samson: Feels really emotional, going through the emotions now

Feels really emotional, going through the emotions now. Very happy to achieve this. Have been putting in a lot of work physically and mentally, happy to see the results go my way now. They bowled really well with the new ball, and the older ball was getting slower and more difficult to bat. So after KL got out, they had the momentum where Maharaj was bowling very well. But me and Tilak stuck it out and went strong at the end. We were playing an extra all rounder today, so me and Tilak had decided that we have to go hard from the 40th over onwards.

Aiden Markram: No changes to playing XI

We'll bowl first. Looks like a good wicket, won't change too much. We want to keep challenging ourselves, hopefully we can take wickets regularly and restrict them to a low total. One last push for most of the guys before a nice break, we'll try our best. Expect more of the same we did in the second ODI. The dimensions here are certainly different, so running hard between wickets will be key. No changes.
