I want to play like Tendulkar, says Punjab Ranji player Jiwanjot

Mumbai, Dec 8:  Punjab's opening batsman Jiwanjot Singh, who made an impressive debut in Ranji Trophy against Hyderabad last month by notching a double century,  has said he would like to play like his role

The youngster said he would like to display his batting skills in the cash-rich Indian Premier League.

"I want to play in IPL. If I play well in the domestic formats, then I will be selected for that. Nobody will say no to play in IPL. If a franchise selects me, I will play for them. I am not thinking about the players' auction now. I am just focusing on the Ranji Trophy match," he said.

The right-hander is here for the first time but is determined to give his best against hosts Mumbai in their next match that started on Saturday.

"Wicket is different over here but I am playing for the first time in Mumbai. I have come to Mumbai for the first time. Let's see what happens but I will give my 100 per cent," he maintained.
