Everyone remembers Shane Warne's "ball of the century" against Mike Gatting which turned square and left the Englishman wondering what just happened. During the 3rd ODI of the three-match series between hosts West Indies and Bangladesh, Sheldon Cottrell bowled a delivery which can be termed the antithesis of Warne's magical delivery.
During the first over of Bangladesh's innings, the West Indian pacer bowled a ball which instead of landing on the pitch, went straight into the hands of second slip. It appeared an honest error on the part of Sheldon who later apologised for the slip up as it was called a no-ball by the umpire.
However, the incident headlined a heartbreaking series loss for the hosts as they were beaten by 18 runs after winning the Test series 2-0. They lead the ongoing T20I series 1-0 with two games to go.
