New Delhi: Team India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli today openly come out in support of his ex-girlfriend and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma after the latter was trolled on Twitter following India’s stunning victory over Australia at Mohali during the Group10 match of the ongoing ICC World Twenty20 championship.

Kohli, who is known for his aggressive attitude, took to Twitter to express displeasure saying the ‘actress has always given him positivity’.

Shame on people for trolling @AnushkaSharma non-stop. Have some compassion. She has always only given me positivity pic.twitter.com/OBIMA2EZKu

This is the first time Kohli has reacted since the two ended their relationship earlier this year.

Kohli yesterday hit an unbeatable 82 of 51 balls to help India beat Australia in must-win match of the Group B to reach semi-final of the ICC tournament.

Soon after the victory, the internet exploded with various memes and images all hailing the outstanding performance by Kohli. In between this, Anushka Sharma once again was targeted by cricket fans thanking the actress for ‘giving back’ Virat Kohli.

The actress was subjected to similar trolls earlier too when people criticized Kohli’s performance.
