Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar on Sunday congratulated Mahendra Singh Dhoni on becoming the first wicket-keeper to complete hundred stumpings in one-day internationals. Dhoni, the former India captain, achieved the magnificent feat during the fifth and final ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Sunday, which India won by six wickets to complete a 5-0 series whitewash

Dhoni reached to the historic landmark when he dislodged Akila Dananjaya's bails and stumped him off the bowling of Yuzvendra Chahal in the 45th over of the Lankan innings. The 36-year-old Dhoni, who is regarded as one of the best limited-overs finishers the game has ever seen, overtook Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara - 99 stumpings (404 matches). Interestingly, Dhoni has just taken 301 matches to achieve this milestone.

Tendulkar acknowledged Dhoni's speed behind the stumps, comparing him with lighting. "Who said lightning doesn't strike twice? Today it did for the 100th time! Well done, @msdhoni! Keep them coming," Tendulkar wrote on Twitter.

Apart from his brilliant batting skills, Dhoni is also known for his quick reflexes and impeccable instincts behind the stumps. He has affected several miraculous stumpings and run-outs for Team India in his career while donning those big military-printed gloves.

Dhoni recently became the sixth Indian cricketer to play 300 ODIs, joining the likes of Mohammad Azharuddin, Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and Yuvraj Singh.
